A new apartment in a building that underwent a long and complicated Tama 38 renovation.

A lovely young couple with two young children who returned to Israel after 10 years in Amsterdam asked us to design and plan an apartment that would be a pleasant, comfortable, and perfectly tailored home for their needs. We cracked the ideal layout plan for them—eliminating an unnecessary guest bathroom at the entrance of the home and turning it into a large, double-sided storage closet that fits big suitcases, with the other side serving as a utility cabinet (for all the tools and cleaning supplies). We also created an entrance closet and an organization area suitable for both adults and children.

We designed a wide, spacious kitchen with a large work surface, including on the island. In addition, we added a dining table that would be more comfortable for the kids.

The small room was turned into a shared bedroom for the children, and the larger room became a playroom. A hidden carpentry door leads to the home office in the reinforced security room (Mamad). A large mirror conceals the electrical cabinet behind it. We planned lots of custom carpentry—an enormous library for books, records, and CDs (with a special compartment for their beloved turntable), large wardrobes in the bedrooms, and lots and lots of storage.

And the best part—the clients have become friends who are also neighbors, and we can pop over for a perfect morning coffee :)
